|Jesse Garon & The Greyhounds, The Early 60s Revisited
Four guys in their twenties from Zaltbommel (The Netherlands) have been roaming around Holland since the year 2000 as "Jesse garon & The Greyhounds" to play authentic rock 'n' roll music from the late fifties and early sisxties. They go back to the roots of pop music with a repertoire that once inspired the Beatles, songs from the 50s by great orginators like Elvis Presley, Chuck Berry, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins and Larry Williams. Many of the songs were also played by the Beatles in their early years, especially at the time when the Beatles performed in Hamburg, Germany.
Altough Jesse Garon & The Greyhounds only exist for a couple of years, the bandmembers have been playing together for over ten years already in bands as "Nico" and "The Meanies", and also as backing band for Kaz Lux. You will have a hard time finding a band who can bring back the sounds of early rock 'n' roll, the way Jesse Garon & The Greyhounds do, in their own original way they bring the sound of the 50s and 60s back to life, they even look somewhat like the early Beatles. And besides the music, they also bring the name "Jesse Garon" back to life. Elvis fans will surely know that Jesse Garon was Elvis Presley's twin brother. A night with The Greyhounds is surely a feast of recognition, guaranteed to get your feet moving! Check out soundsamples on the Hi Ho Silver website.
